For the debut collection of WSDM S/S 12’- LET THERE BE LIGHT, we delve into the juxtaposition of light versus darkness. No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, instead he puts it on its stand, so that everyone may come and see the light. Just like our eyes, they are like the lamp of our bodies. When our eyes are good, we will be illuminated with hope. On the contrary, when they are bad, we will be immersed in a stupor. We are constantly challenged to discern the light within us is not darkness. The collection adopts the tonal palette of the orbit, whereby glimmer of lights are visibly lucid against the somber skyscape. Encrypted in graphically-shaped detailings, the placement of high-tech synthetics onto compact matte surfaces, paired with glossy and lightweight finishes are key details in the range of shirts, tees, jackets and low-crotch bottoms.
